Plant Name: Aspidistra
Botanical Name: Aspidistra elatior
Common Names: Cast Iron Plant, Bar Room Plant

🌞 Light

Thrives in low to medium indirect light. One of the most shade-tolerant houseplants available — ideal for dark corners, hallways, and offices with no natural light.

💧 Watering

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Drought-tolerant and forgiving of irregular watering. Reduce frequency in cooler months.

🌡️ Temperature

Ideal range: 45–85°F (7–29°C). Exceptionally cold-hardy compared to most houseplants. Avoid only extreme heat above 100°F (38°C).

🌱 Soil

Use a well-draining indoor potting mix. Not fussy about soil as long as drainage is adequate.
