Plant Name: Rosemary
Botanical Name: Salvia rosmarinus
Common Names: Rosemary, Garden Rosemary
Origin: Mediterranean Region
🌞 Light
Requires full, direct sunlight — at least 6–8 hours per day. A sunny south-facing windowsill or outdoor spot is ideal. Low light causes weak, flavorless growth.
💧 Watering
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Rosemary prefers drier conditions and is very drought-tolerant. Overwatering is the leading cause of death.
🌡️ Temperature
Thrives in 60–90°F (16–32°C). Tolerates mild cold but protect from hard frost. Excellent for outdoor pots year-round in Pakistani climate.
🌱 Soil
Use a well-draining, sandy or gritty mix. Rosemary hates wet feet — excellent drainage is essential.
✂️ Maintenance
Prune after flowering to keep the plant bushy and productive. Harvest stems regularly to encourage fresh aromatic growth. Fertilize lightly once a month during the growing season.

🟡 Yellow, dropping leaves – Overwatering or root rot. Reduce water immediately.
🍂 Grey, powdery coating – Powdery mildew from poor air circulation. Improve airflow.
