Plant Name: Snake Plant (Sensaveria)
Botanical Name: Dracaena trifasciata
Common Names: Snake Plant, Mother-in-Law's Tongue, Sensaveria
Origin: West Africa
🌞 Light
Tolerates low to bright indirect light. One of the most indestructible houseplants — adapts to almost any indoor light condition. Avoid only prolonged harsh direct sun.
💧 Watering
Water when the soil is completely dry — every 2–3 weeks in summer. Reduce to monthly in winter. Extremely drought-tolerant.
🌡️ Temperature
Ideal range: 60–85°F (16–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
🌱 Soil
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix to prevent root rot.
✂️ Maintenance
Wipe leaves with a damp cloth. Remove any yellow or dead leaves. Repot every 2–3 years. Virtually no other care required.
