🌿 Care Guide
Plant Name: Drimiopsis in Fiber Planter
Botanical Name: Drimiopsis maculata
Common Names: African False Squill, Leopard Plant, Little White Soldier
Origin: South Africa
🌞 Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Tolerates partial shade. Avoid strong direct sun which fades the spotted leaf pattern.
💧 Watering
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Moderately drought-tolerant due to its underground bulb. Reduce watering in winter dormancy.
🌡️ Temperature
Ideal range: 60–80°F (16–27°C). Protect from frost below 50°F (10°C).
🌱 Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix with perlite for good drainage. The fiber planter is breathable and suits this plant well.
✂️ Maintenance
Remove yellow leaves as they appear. Goes semi-dormant in winter. Produces small white flowers in spring. Divide clumps every 2–3 years.
⚠️ Sad Plant Signs
🟡 Yellow leaves – Overwatering or natural dormancy.
🍂 Faded spotting – Too much direct sun.
📉 Limp leaves – Underwatering. Water and it will recover quickly.
