🌿 Dyckia Plant
Striking. Resilient. Dramatic. A hardy terrestrial bromeliad known for its architectural spiky rosette and dramatic purple coloration. Perfect for hot, dry spots!
✅ Thrives on neglect & easy for beginners!
☀️ Light
Full sun to partial shade. More sun enhances the intense purple colour.
💧 Watering
Water thoroughly, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings. Excellent drought tolerance.
🪴 Soil
Fast-draining, gritty succulent or cactus mix. High mineral content is essential.
🌱 Fertiliser
Occasionally with diluted balanced fertiliser in spring and summer only.
✂️ Pruning
Remove dead or damaged leaves at the base to keep the rosette clean.
🪣 Repotting
Every 2–3 years when root-bound. Spring is best. Choose a pot with good drainage.
